Copper is great at the right level

Copper is very effective at controlling algae in swimming pools and hot tubs. However, it is important to keep it in the correct range to make sure that it’s concentrated enough to be effective, but not so high that it could cause staining. These test strips make it easy to read the copper level, without the time and cost of the more complicated tests that use drops.

Quick and easy to use

Compared to other copper test strips, the color and reading level is very easy to distinguish. Compared with copper drop tests, these are easier to use and faster to develop.

Watch the Langlier Saturation Index (LSI)

The Langlier Saturation Index (LSI) is a measure of the key water parameters that affect the comfort and safety of the water. It is made up of pH, alkalinity and calcium. A negative LSI makes the water corrosive and it will slowly eat away at pool surfaces and equipment. It is also uncomfortable on your skin. A positive LSI can cause dissolved minerals to precipitate which can lead to staining over time. Keeping copper in the correct range, along with the LSI, is important to get the most of your mineral pool over the long term.
